It was a big day for fans of the buzz here in Boston.

Every third Monday of April, Massachusetts celebrates a regional holiday called Patriots' Day, giving us Massholes a three-day weekend to celebrate... some battle fought during the Revolutionary War... we think... Whatever the reason, Patriots' Day is commonly thought of as an extra day-off to recover from the weekend, curse Mother Nature for not bringing summer weather soon enough, barbecue, and watch a bunch of people run 26.22 miles from Hopkinton to the Copley Square finish line of the annual Boston Marathon held every year on the same holiday.

"Marathon Monday," as it is lovingly referred to on college campuses throughout the Commonwealth, is furthermore a binge drinking extravaganza that becomes a final exam of sorts to prove what you really learned over the year at college. However, extra credit should be issued this year since worldwide counterculture "holiday" 04/20 falls on the 113th running of the Boston Marathon, making this year all the more special.
