New York giants UNDRCRWN return to Karmaloop fresh off of a collaboration with the mighty Mos Def.
UNDRCRWN had to have been faced with some serious pressure following its enormous success in seasons past with tees featuring caricatures of Barack Obama, Martin Luther King, Jr., The Notorious B.I.G. and Slick Rick, as well as sports caricatures of many, including O.J. Mayo and Michael Beasley for the 2008 NBA Draft and Muhammed Ali and George Foreman from a still of the epic "Thrilla in Manilla" bout.
However, Dustin Canalin and company make like Ray Allen from the charity stripe and swish on its first attempt back with a series of tees inspired by a Karmaloop favorite, Mos Def. We've been down with Mos since his Rawkus Records days, including the bangers on the Lyricist Lounge and Soundbombing series, not to mention the all-time classic Black Star record with brethren Talib Kweli. And who could possibly forget Black on Both Sides or the way-too-overlooked The New Danger (featuring members of another favorite band, Bad Brains), moreover his acting stints on The Chappelle Show, Monster's Ball or as the voice of Gangstalicious on The Boondocks animated series? He is most definitely a renaissance man of our age, so it's only fitting a brand as versatile as UNDRCRWN would pay tribute with some ill designs in his honor.
