World Boutique is Supplying Global Goods
Recently opened in the Lower East Side, World is shipping in labels from longitudes across the planet. Established by Bronx natives Rob Dallas and Kareem Woods, this store features both local and global brands never before seen in NYC boutiques. Upon talking to Dallas this afternoon, I uncovered that as the only official distributor of both Special Needs and Rockwell clothing in North America, World truly lives up to the hype as a unique shopping experience. Among the other labels making an appearace are: Seattle designer Hello Minor, Austrailian line Com Raid, and Hellz Bellz. Yet, it's not just Tees filling the racks at World, there's also a collector's case of rare Air Jordans, wherein a pair of Newports ($700) are made to resemble a box of menthols, come in the minty color of the cigarette brand, and are complete with gold-chain detail. Totally sick. Despite growing at a rapid rate, the guys at World are still hanging out at the store, dishing on gear, and calling kids on a first name basis--so, if you're ever in NYC definitely check out World and expand your horizons.
