Do you love the
human body? Of course you do! So why not find out what fascinating equipment
lies just beneath the skin. Body Worlds
2 is a controversial anatomical exhibition of about 200 real human bodies that
have been preserved through Plastination and placed on display. The touring
exhibit recently hit the Boston Museum of Science and will be around until
January. If human specimens are a bit too real for you to handle, take a look
at a
recent character study by Michael Paulus. The Oregon based artist’s work
depicts what the skeletal systems of popular cartoon characters like Hello
Kitty, Marivn the Martian, and Betty Boop would look like. The pieces are surprisingly detailed and very
creepy. If you’re on the site be sure to
check out the letters sent to Paulus by middle school children who drew their
own cartoon anatomy for a class project. You may never sleep again.
This stuff is pretty scary..i dont want to see anybodys ugly body preserved. Its kinda creepy actually...to have your body preserved and think it might come back to life like THE MUMMY.
