Where do you get your inspiration? All artists have different sources of inspiration for creating their masterpieces. Artist Robert Piersanti gets his from growing up in suburban Jersey during the sixties. Hotrods, rock stars, space cadettes, mermaids, and cowgirls are visual symbols used throughout his work. The vivid portraits, created by Piersanti, create an imaginative and eye-catching display. He uses acrylics in order to achieve a smooth, flat look to each painting. His portraits are so precise and clean that they could easily be mistaken for a snapshot photo. Piersanti blends modern and retro flavors to create a style all of his own. His most recent works include designing the poster for the mermaid parade in Coney Island as well as his current display of pop art that includes 35 of his colorful portraits.
