Getting ready for the much-anticipated Spring, Rebel Yell is one of the
most sought out brands, as the collection is playful, comfortable and all
things vintage. Available at Karmaloop.com, the Rebel Yell collection offers
the basics: T-shirts, button-downs, raglans, hoodies and other clothing that
are meticulously structured for optimal comfort and style. Conceived in
February 2005 by Daniel and Andi Ballard, the label is heavily inspired by
nostalgic childhood memories growing up in Virginia. Andi, the brand’s
designer, explains that “it’s a name inspired by the rowdy all-American
lifestyle we grew up in… I want Rebel Yell to be super-fresh and easy to wear.
The kind of clothing that doesn’t overpower you, but still makes you look damn
good. I obsess about the fit and design details, and refuse to put out a
product that Daniel and I wouldn’t want to wear.” The brand reflects the styles
that the creators grew up with: relaxed, fresh and classic. Rebel Yell’s future
is looking very promising, as it continues to attract both men and women
everywhere, as well as celebrities such as Reese Witherspoon, Lindsay Lohan,
Mischa Barton, Miley Cyrus and many others.
Karmaloop Boston's ( 160 Newbury Street ) grand opening party at Underbar on Thursday, November 17 2005 was dope!
Reebok was the chief sponsor of the event and Reebok folks were out in full force! Red Bull and Triple Five Soul were additional sponsors of the two fabulous VIP sections where many of their respective crews were nesting around the small tables laden with bottles.
